It is with great excitement that I announce that I’m partnering with my friend Nez to expand the concept behind New Eyes into a full game! It’ll be a very interactive visual novel called Quality Dreams, Reasonably Priced. You can try a first glimpse version of it here. 

I wanted to revisit this concept since I was really drawn to this world and its protagonist, Jin. I wanted to explore more about their life and what outside forces might influence the advice they provide to the clinic’s clients. To really dig into how capitalist forces pressure you to be selfish and take advantage of others, and to do so through creating deep emotional connections to the game’s characters. 

Nez and I created a WIP demo (that was meant to be a submission to the Cyberpunk Game Jam, but we just missed the deadline unfortunately). The demo includes three scenes from the envisioned full game which feature two new clients to meet and learn about. I hope you give it a try and let us know what you think!
